The Society of Augustus

Long has our mission been the proliferation of monarchism, as a peaceful group it is our collective goal to revive and re-establish monarchism. It is a necessity of the modern world that this be done; political infighting, spurred on by the scourge of republicanism, shall damn us all and damn our nations. The negligence of the republic is unbecoming of a free society, that the officers of state have partaken in such wrongs should be enough to declare tyranny; and it is for this reason, that we must choose monarchy. 

Since the foundation of the republic, the states which have acted upon its ideals have become the worst of tyrannies; many-a republican state has turned despotic, not in spite of but rather because of the democratic system. Look to Weimar Germany, to the crimes of the French Republic, to the Trail of Tears America paved, to internment and slavery for less than reasonable things, and proclaim them anything but the will of democratic tyranny.

We are primarily a monarchist organization, believing that almost any monarchy is going to be better than the modern republic. Most of us, however, are constitutionalists, advocating for a monarch ruling with a parliament elected by the people. On a social level, we have any sort of ideology you can imagine, from liberals, to progressives, to conservatives, libertarians, and all others; to generalize on their behalf would be meaningless. 

The TSOA has both an oath and a motto, being "In taking this great responsibility you shall vow, before any God you hold, to be eternally allied with reason, virtue, and, by proxy, monarchism; that you will strive to defend the weak, aid the innocent, and promote the ideals and values of Monarchism. That these actions shall be taken as a [Rank] of the Society of Augustus." Our motto is also quite simply: "Fides, Traditio, Monarchia". 

Not at all! The Freemasons are a revolutionary republican organization that from their inception have supported republican revolutions around the world and encouraged treachery against one's God-given sovereigns.

They hold as their ideals the concepts of the so called "enlightenment" that directly led to the French Revolution, which they had a hand in supporting. They also supported republican revolutions in the German Empire, Austro-Hungarian Empire, and Russian Empire, and they still encourage treachery to this day. While it is true that masonic societies exist within currently existing constitutional monarchies such as the UK and freely admit both monarchists and royals, their track record speaks for itself with where their loyalties truly lie.

We are not only unaffiliated with them; we are directly opposed to their ideas as they are the antithesis of what we believe in and support.

The only possible similarity one could ascribe to us is that we both allow those of any religion to join our organization. However, the Freemasons explicitly foster indifferentism and present all religions as equally valid. We on the other hand, make no such statement either way.

Many of our higher ups happen to be Christian, and fully believe in and follow what their religion commands of them; while others respect this but hold to another religion or no particular religion. Our founder, in fact - happened to be a Roman Pagan.

However, none of this should cause dispute because we as an organization make no statement on the true religion either way, and what opening prayers we have at our meetings are most often generally applicable prayers, much like the ones you'd hear at Remembrance Day ceremonies. In fact, they were first proposed so that meeting attendees who arrived early would have something to do while they waited for latecomers!


*On the subject of secrets however; as a society we do keep some secrets for reasons of privacy. For example, any contact information of our members is only divulged to those leadership staff who require it and not made public, to protect the privacy rights of our members.
